About Us

The Iğdır University Conflict Resolution and Coexistence Culture Application and Research Center was established on December 17, 2018, and is part of Iğdır University's efforts to strengthen social peace, cultural diversity, and the culture of coexistence. The center continues its work by conducting research on conflict resolution and coexistence at regional and national levels, organizing training and awareness programs, and striving to promote better understanding and harmony within society.

History

The center was established on December 17, 2018, with the aim of fulfilling Iğdır University's social responsibilities. Since its establishment, the center has successfully completed a series of projects aimed at developing effective solution strategies for regional conflicts and promoting the culture of coexistence.

Objectives

The main objectives of the centre are:

• Social Peace and Harmony: The Center works to strengthen social peace and harmony. It promotes dialogue between different cultures in the region and organizes various events to increase understanding.
• Preservation and Enrichment of Cultural Diversity: The Center emphasizes the importance of cultural diversity and carries out projects to preserve and develop this richness. It organizes activities such as traditional events, exhibitions and cultural exchange programs.
• Peaceful Resolution of Disputes: The Center emphasizes the importance of peaceful and constructive approaches in resolving disputes. It carries out work in this field through activities such as mediation training, seminars and guidance programs.
• Education and Awareness Programs: The Center organizes education and awareness programs for the community. It offers various trainings to increase social awareness on conflict resolution, cultural diversity and coexistence.
• Cooperation and Joint Projects: The Center develops joint projects by cooperating at regional and national levels. It contributes to the establishment of social harmony and peace by cooperating with other universities, non-governmental organizations and public institutions.
